A PERFECT
BREAKFAST
A Delicious Buffet
An experience rich in traditional Portuguese flavours is what you can expect from the buffet breakfast served at the Be Poet Baixa Hotel.
Between 7.30 am and 10.30 am (until 11 am on weekends and holidays), our Al Dante restaurant, found on the ground floor of the building, serves up a wide range of fresh local produce. It is difficult to choose from the different breads, cereals, cheeses, cold meats, jams and fresh fruits.
Highlights of the room’s decoration include hand painted watercolours, which transform and give character to the large space. As with elsewhere in the hotel, this space also strives to prioritise comfort and the bohemian atmosphere experienced by the poets: The best place to enjoy a quiet and tasty meal, full of irresistible choices.
Sweet Flavours of Lisbon
Be Poet Baixa Hotel is the perfect place to sample the city’s unique traditional pastry specialities.
The buffet breakfast always includes a selection of sweet regional products, prepared daily with fresh and natural ingredients such as eggs, sugar, milk, butter, flour and spices.
The renowned Portuguese custard tart (pastel de nata) can always be found among these sweet treats. The origins of the centuries-old recipe for Lisbon’s favourite tart can be traced to the convents around Lisbon, and both the Portuguese and visiting tourists hold a special place for it in their hearts.
At Be Poet Baixa Hotel you will always find a fresh custard tart, with the crunchy filo pastry surrounding the filling made of milk, eggs and sugar. Sprinkled with cinnamon and icing sugar, it is perfect for accompanying the strong taste of an espresso, known by Lisbon residents as a “bica”. And this is the perfect recipe for starting to discover Lisbon.
